デフォルトブランチ名について

Organization のメンバーが Organization で新しいリポジトリを作成するとき、リポジトリにはブランチが 1 つ含まれます。これがデフォルトブランチです。 Organization のメンバーが新しいリポジトリを作成するとき、GitHub はブランチを 1 つ作成し、それをリポジトリのデフォルトブランチに設定します。 デフォルトブランチの詳細については、「ブランチについて」を参照してください。

You can set the name of the default branch for new repositories. For more information, see "Managing the default branch for your repositories," "Managing the default branch name for repositories in your organization," and "Enforcing repository management policies in your enterprise."

If an enterprise owner has enforced a policy for the default branch name for your enterprise, you cannot set a default branch name for your organization. Instead, you can change the default branch for individual repositories. For more information, see "Enforcing repository management policies in your enterprise" and "Changing the default branch."

デフォルトブランチ 名を設定する

1. GitHub AEの右上で、プロフィール画像をクリックし、続いてYour profile（あなたのプロフィール）をクリックしてください。
   
2. プロフィールページの左側で、"Organizations"の下であなたのOrganizationのアイコンをクリックしてください。
   
3. Organization名の下で、Settings（設定）をクリックしてください。
   
4. In the left sidebar, click Repository defaults.
   
5. [Repository default branch] で、[Change default branch name now] をクリックします。
   
6. 新しいブランチに使用したいデフォルト名を入力します。
   
7. [Update] をクリックします。
