Syncing license usage between GitHub Enterprise Server and GitHub Enterprise Cloud

About synchronization of license usage

You can allocate the user count for your GitHub Enterprise license to members of both GitHub Enterprise Server インスタンス and an enterprise account on GitHub Enterprise Cloud. When you add a user to either environment, the user will consume one license. If a user has accounts in both environments, to consume only one license, the user's primary email address on GitHub Enterprise Server インスタンス must be the same as the user's verified email address on GitHub.com. ライセンス数と使用状況を環境間で同期できます。

If you allow GitHub Enterprise Serverのインスタンス to connect to GitHub.com, you can sync license usage between your enterprise accounts automatically. Automatic synchronization ensures that you see up-to-date license details on GitHub.com. If you don't want to allow GitHub Enterprise Serverのインスタンス to connect to GitHub.com, you can manually sync license usage by uploading a file from GitHub Enterprise Serverのインスタンス to GitHub.com.

Automatically syncing license usage

Manually syncing license usage

GitHub Enterprise ServerからJSONファイルをダウンロードしてGitHub Enterprise Cloudにそのファイルをアップロードし、2つのデプロイメント間でユーザライセンスの使用状況を手動で同期できます。

1. GitHub Enterprise Serverの右上で、プロフィール写真をクリックし、続いてEnterprise settings（Enterpriseの設定）をクリックしてください。

2. Enterpriseアカウントのサイドバーで、 Settings（設定）をクリックしてください。

3. 左のサイドバーでLicense（ライセンス）をクリックしてください。

4. [Quick links] で、GitHub Enterprise Server上の現在のライセンスを含むファイルをダウンロードするには、[Export license usage] をクリックします。

5. GitHub.comに移動します。

6. GitHub.comの右上で、自分のプロフィール写真をクリックし、続いてYour enterprises（自分のEnterprise）をクリックしてください。

7. Enterpriseのリストで、表示したいEnterpriseをクリックしてください。

8. Enterpriseアカウントのサイドバーで、 Settings（設定）をクリックしてください。

9. 左のサイドバーで、 Enterprise licensing（Enterpriseライセンス）をクリックしてください。

10. 左のサイドバーでLicense（ライセンス）をクリックしてください。

11. [Enterprise Server Instances] の下で、[Add server usage] をクリックします。

12. GitHub Enterprise ServerからダウンロードしたJSONファイルをアップロードします。
