Secret scanning is available for the following repository types:

  • Public repositories on GitHub.com
  • Organization-owned repositories on GitHub Enterprise Cloud with GitHub Advanced Security enabled
  • User-owned repositories for GitHub Enterprise Cloud with Enterprise Managed Users
