Troubleshooting issues with GitHub Copilot Chat

This guide describes common issues with Copilot Chat and how to resolve them.

Who can use this feature?

All users with a GitHub Copilot Pro or GitHub Copilot Free subscription can access GitHub Copilot Chat in supported IDEs and on the GitHub website.

Owners of organizations with a Copilot Business subscription can decide whether to grant access to GitHub Copilot Chat.

Troubleshooting interrupted chat responses

If a chat response terminates unexpectedly, before the response is complete, try resubmitting the question.

In Copilot Chat's immersive view (the github.com/copilot page), you can resubmit your question by clicking the button under the chat response.
