About managing your GitHub Copilot for Business subscription
This article applies to setting up and managing a GitHub Copilot subscription for your organization or enterprise account. If you want to set up GitHub Copilot for your personal account, see "Managing your GitHub Copilot subscription for your personal account."
You can set up a Copilot for Business subscription for your organization or enterprise account. If you set up a subscription for your organization account, you can grant access to GitHub Copilot for individuals and teams within your organization. If you set up a subscription for your enterprise account, you can grant access to GitHub Copilot for organizations within your enterprise.
Setting up a Copilot for Business subscription for your enterprise
Before you can start using Copilot for Business in your enterprise, you will need to set up a subscription.
Customers under a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement
As a customer under a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, you need to connect your Azure subscription ID to your enterprise account to enable and pay for GitHub Copilot, see "Connecting an Azure subscription."
Customers under a direct GitHub contract

Go to the GitHub Copilot for Business sign up page.

To purchase GitHub Copilot for your enterprise, select Enable GitHub Copilot at an enterprise level and click Continue.

Select the enterprise for which you want to purchase GitHub Copilot and click Continue.

Follow the steps to confirm your payment details, then click Save.
If you don't have a payment method on file, you'll be prompted to add one.
Modifying your Copilot for Business subscription
You can modify your Copilot for Business subscription for your organization or for your enterprise account.
Modifying your Copilot for Business settings for your enterprise
Note: Only enterprise owners can modify policies for GitHub Copilot.
You can modify the policies for the use of GitHub Copilot suggestions that match public code in your enterprise, and the access to your GitHub Copilot subscription. For more information, see "Enforcing policies for GitHub Copilot in your enterprise."
Modifying your Copilot for Business settings for your organization
You can configure GitHub Copilot in your organization, including granting and revoking access to individuals and teams, and determining whether to block suggestions that match public code. For more information, see "Managing Copilot for Business."
Canceling your Copilot for Business subscription
You can either disable GitHub Copilot for all organizations in your enterprise or for a specific organization.
Canceling your Copilot for Business subscription for your enterprise account
Note: You must be an enterprise owner to disable Copilot for Business for all organizations in your enterprise.
To cancel your Copilot for Business subscription for your enterprise account, you need to disable GitHub Copilot for all organizations in your enterprise.
- In the enterprise account sidebar, click Policies.
- Under " Policies", click Copilot.
- Under "Manage organization access to GitHub Copilot," select Disabled to disable GitHub Copilot for all organizations in your enterprise.
- Click Save.
Canceling your Copilot for Business subscription for your organization account
To cancel your Copilot for Business subscription for your organization account, you need to remove all assigned GitHub Copilot seats.

In the top right corner of GitHub.com, click your profile photo, then click Your organizations.

Next to the organization, click Settings.

In the "Code planning, and automation" section of the sidebar, click Copilot, and then click Access.

Under "Copilot in your organization," to revoke GitHub Copilot access for all users in your organization, select Disabled.

In the "Confirm seat removal" dialog, click Remove seats.
