Organizations are great for businesses and large open-source projects that need multiple owners and administrators, grouped together with teams that determine affinity and repository permissions.

Create an organization to apply fine-grained access permissions to repositories.
Converting a user into an organization
You can convert all of the repositories owned by a user account an organization. This allows more granular permissions for accessing repositories.
Removing a user from your organization
If a member of your organization no longer requires access to any repositories owned by the organization, you can remove them from the organization.
