Apply to GitHub Education as a teacher

If you're a teacher, you can apply to join GitHub Education and receive access to the resources and benefits of GitHub Education.

To apply for teacher benefits and GitHub Education access, you must meet the following requirements.

  • Be an educator, faculty member, or researcher.
  • Have a verifiable school-issued email address.
  • Upload documents that prove your school affiliation.
  • Have a personal account on GitHub.

Applying to GitHub Education

  1. Navigate to your Education benefits settings.
  2. Under "GitHub Education", click Start an application.
  3. Complete the form, then click Submit application.

Once your application is approved, navigate to your GitHub Education portal to use your GitHub Education benefits.
