Uninstalling GitHub Desktop

You can uninstall GitHub Desktop from Microsoft Windows or OS X any time.

  1. In a Finder window, navigate to the Applications folder.
  2. While pressing the Control button on your keyboard, click GitHub Desktop.
  3. Choose Move to Trash.
  4. In the upper-left corner of your screen, select the Finder menu.
  5. Click Empty Trash.
  6. Read the warning in the pop-up box and click Empty Trash.
  1. In a Windows Explorer window, navigate to Control Panel.
  2. Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
  3. Right-click the entry named GitHub, then click Uninstall/Change.
  4. Select "Remove the application from this computer."
  5. Click OK.
